About Abby Road
Founded in 1987, Abby Road Housing Co-operative Ltd. was created to provide affordable, accessible housing in Edmonton for people of all abilities — where able-bodied and disabled residents live side by side in an integrated, inclusive community.
Our co-op model empowers members to own, manage, and maintain their homes together, ensuring a strong sense of belonging and shared responsibility.
Within the co-op, Abby Road Support Services offers 24-hour, self-directed assistance for members with physical disabilities who need help with daily living. The majority of our residents live independently, while those who qualify for support receive it in the comfort of their own homes — surrounded by a community that understands and values inclusion.

Our Name
Inspired by the iconic Abbey Road crossing by The Beatles, Abby Road is about the spaces between—where ordinary moments become meaningful, and every step forward is part of a shared journey.
To us, it represents community, collaboration, and the everyday act of crossing paths to build something lasting together. It’s where individuality, harmony, and forward motion meet—Abby Road is about moving forward together, toward what’s next.
Our Location
Located on Whyte Avenue in Edmonton’s Garneau neighbourhood, Abby Road offers the best of both worlds — city living with a small-community feel, steps away from shops, restaurants, transit, and the University of Alberta.
